Gabriela is an experienced educator and consultant specializing in educational and therapeutic program placements for adolescents and young adults. With a background as a Secondary Teacher and School Administrator in CT, CA, NY, and the UK, she brings over a decade of leadership in both public and independent schools. Her work is grounded in helping students build identity, emotional regulation, and the skills needed to succeed in post-secondary education and beyond.
As a trilingual Uruguayan-American who grew up attending schools in Mexico, Brazil, the UK, and the US, Gabriela brings a global perspective and fierce optimism to her work. She holds degrees in English Literature, Secondary Education, and a Master’s in Education from the University of Connecticut. Her expertise includes international residential schools, with a special focus on safeguarding and student wellness during transitions.
Above all, Gabriela is committed to ensuring each child is safe, supported, and placed in an environment where they can grow with confidence.
Gabriela’s top priority is identifying the appropriate academic and/or therapeutic setting where each student can gain on self-regulation skills in order to progress towards independence and optimize their learning.
